Michael Schiff has joined Fiduciary Trust Company International as its managing director, the wealth management firm announced Monday.

Fiduciary Trust hired Schiff at its Boca Raton, Fla. office. However, he is temporarily working in the firm’s headquarters in New York City until November 1. Fiduciary Trust believes Schiff’s experience and connections will help it “deliver our array of comprehensive wealth and trust planning services to clients in South Florida.”

Schiff has 20 years of industry experience and comes from Glenmede Trust Co. in Princeton, N.J., where he worked as the business development director for six years. He also worked with PNC Wealth Management, U.S. Trust, Bank of America Private Wealth Management and Prudential Securities. Schiff also brings experience from his days as an attorney specializing in estate planning, family law and commercial transactions.

Schiff is the latest addition to Fiduciary Trust’s expanding presence in Florida. In its Coral Gables office it added Leticia Hernandez as trust counsel in June and Edgardo Gonzalez as managing director and senior portfolio manager in August.

Fiduciary Trust Company International is a wealth management firm offering wealth and investment management services to individuals, families, endowments and foundations. It’s a wholly-owned subsidiary of Franklin Templeton Investments, and it manages and administers $77 billion in assets as of June.
