Provenance Wealth Advisors, based in Fort Lauderdale, Fla., has tapped financial advisor Robert Weiss as the firm’s Sarasota, Fla. regional director.
“Rob is a terrific addition to our team,” said Eric Zeitlin, managing director of Provenance Wealth Advisors. “His many years of experience will be valuable as we continue to expand in Florida with our new Sarasota office.”
Weiss joins Provenance from Morgan Stanley. He has also worked at A.G. Edwards and TD Securities. Weiss started his professional career as a bond trader in Canada and in New York.
Weiss has more than three decades of experience in investment strategies, financial planning and life insurance solutions. He earned a bachelor’s degree from the University of Toronto, and is a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA). Weiss holds Series 3, 7, 24, 31, 63 and 66 licenses.
As a financial advisor and as a member of the Provenance Investment Committee, Weiss will work with the firm to establish its services in the Sarasota market.
In addition to the Sarasota location that Weiss will direct and the firm's Fort Lauderdale headquarters, Provenance has offices in Miami, Boca Raton and West Palm Beach, Fla.; Cincinnati, Ohio; and New York, N.Y.
