A financial-care tweet storm will be hosted by the Federal Trade Commission for veterans and the active military on Wednesday, July 19, from 9 a.m. to 4:45 p.m. Eastern Time.

The forum for military members, veterans and their families will cover financial issues and scams on topics from student loans to debt collection to auto financing to legal remedies.

“Helping service members and veterans avoid fraud, learn about their legal rights and remedies, and find resources that protect them in the financial area is a top priority for the FTC,” Acting Chairman Maureen K. Ohlhausen said in announcing the event.

The live tweets (#MilFinancialWorkshop) will be coming from a seminar the agency will be holding in San Antonio, Texas.
