When we first saw the name of this firm, we thought "how clever are these folks"?  SmartAsset?  How is it that nobody else had thought of this great name before now?  And when we visited their site, it struck us that they have aggregated ALL the major financial pieces of the pie into one easy-to-navigate platform, in a way that we haven't seen before.

The site provides analytics and advice for home buying, refinancing, student loans, personal loans, credit cards, taxes, insurance, retirement, checking & savings, and investing.

According to their Crunchbase listing, "SmartAsset makes life's biggest decisions easier by bringing transparency to the financial decision making process. It's the Web's first personal finance platform designed to empower people with highly personalized information and recommendations around major financial decisions."

The site presumably collects fees for forwarding their users to lenders, insurance firms, credit card companies, etc.  It looks to be a very solid, well-designed platform, and we can understand how they have had success in fund-raising for their new company.  Kudos to this firm.
