Firenze Wealth Management has aligned with Good Life Companies and will be joining the LPL Financial platform, bringing $390 million in client brokerage, advisory and retirement plan assets to the deal.

Firenze, based in Portland, Ore., joins LPL from Foresters Financial, which is headquartered in Toronto.

Carrie Mullins and Sara Tanner, with more than 50 years of collective experience in the financial services industry, founded Firenze in 2017 with the goal of offering holistic financial planning and wealth management services with a focus on educating their clients, not just managing their investments, according to a press release.

The firm primarily serves clients living and working in the Pacific Northwest. Instead of focusing on high-net-worth individuals and families, however, Firenze has developed a clientele consisting mostly of public service workers, such as teachers, police officers and firefighters, the press release said.

According to Mullins and Tanner, their commitment to community service—the firm holds public seminars on financial planning—is a philosophy shared by Good Life CEO Conor Delaney.

Delaney is a financial advisor who co-founded the Good Life Companies in 2012 with Courtnie Nein, the firm's president. Good Life offers turnkey services to independent advisors and their clients nationwide through the LPL Financial broker-dealer and corporate or hybrid registered investment advisor platforms.

In emailed comments to Financial Advisor, Delaney said that Good Life  provides its advisors with transition support, group health care, payroll services, a 401(k) plan for their staff and other support services.

The company also opened a 4,000-square-foot physical fitness center as part of its headquarters in Wyomissing, Pa., that is open to the public.

“The secret is giving the advisors the latitude to independently drive the mission they set forth to [accomplish and] to find success, not have them spend their time on non-revenue generating activities,” he said.

Good Life has offices in more than 30 states in all three time zones, he said.
