Former Securities and Exchange Commission Chair Mary Jo White and Andrew Ceresney, who served under her as SEC enforcement director, are returning to the law firm they left to come to the regulator: Debevoise & Plimpton.

White will be focusing on counseling boards of directors that are facing government investigations, the firm announced Wednesday.

“I am eager to begin this next chapter of my career,” the White said in a Debevoise statement.

White stepped down as SEC chief when President Barak Obama left office January 20.
