A number of Moody’s investors testified or wrote the court before his sentencing, several expressing doubt that they would ever see one dollar of restitution.
One retired couple said they had entrusted the felonious advisor with more than $500,000 in retirement funds. They said they had been planning to travel to Disney. After Moody stole their money, the couple said they were unable to travel to California to attend a relative’s funeral.
