Founders Financial, an independent broker-dealer and registered investment advisor based in Towson, Md., hired Hank Multala as its managing director of business development.
Multala will report to Founder Financial CEO Bradley Shepherd and will train or help transition new member firms. According to a company press release, Founders Financial created the position with the intent to have someone develop and implement its new advisor recruiting.
Multala stated in the press release that he joined the B-D/RIA because of its “self-selecting community” that doesn’t try to be “all things to all people.”
Multala previously owned and operated his own consulting firm for recruiting, management and business development. Prior to that he worked for large broker-dealers, including Cetera Financial, Lincoln Investment Planning and LPL Financial.
Founders Financial has $3.3 billion in brokerage and fee-based assets and partners with 78 financial advisors.
