The OneFPA Advisory Council is being created to increase the number of voices involved. It will comprise representatives from all 86 of the chapters plus leaders of the Next-Gen community.

But critics such as Bob Veres and Michael Kitces have been relentless. Some have gone as far as to say that the chapters could secede.

“The real question,” wrote Kitces on his blog Nerd’s Eye View, “should be whether the OneFPA Network is the right step to take in the first place, what goals the leadership is really trying to accomplish, and whether there might be a better way to get the same results … without spending $1 million of FPA’s cash reserves and thousands of hours of volunteer energy for an initiative that may not substantively solve any of the problems that FPA actually faces.”
