San Mateo, Calif.-based Franklin Templeton Investments announced Wednesday that it has hired Manraj Sekhon as chief investment officer of emerging markets equity.
Prior to joining Franklin Templeton, Sekhon served as CEO, CIO and director of Singapore-based Fullerton Fund Management. He also spent time as director and head of international equities at Henderson Global Investors.
Sekhon will oversee Franklin Templeton’s team of more than 80 emerging markets equity professionals that manages over $45 billion in assets.
