A Fulbright scholar from Azerbaijan, who intends to return to her home to pursue an investment management career, has been appointed to an internship position at MRA Associates, an investment management firm in Phoenix, MRA announced.
Aysel Soltanli has joined the firm as an investment analyst intern for the summer. She earned a Fulbright Scholarship, a merit-based scholarship that promotes exchanges of students between countries. Soltanli graduated in May from Arizona State University with a master’s degree in finance. She received a bachelor’s degree in finance from Qafqaz University in Azerbaijan in 2015.
When she finishes the internship, Soltanli wants to return to her country to continue her career in the investment management field, as well as lecture at Azerbaijani University to contribute to the development of future finance professionals there, she says.
Prior to Soltanli’s graduate study, she worked as a business analyst at Modern Group of Companies, a group of investment companies in Azerbaijan with a presence in more than ten diversified segments.
