Twelve former Waddell & Reed financial advisors with a combined total of $544 million in client assets have joined Good Life Companies, a family of wealth management firms based in Reading, Pa., according to an announcement today.

The advisors are Michael Copeland of Irmo, S.C.; Brian Lethert of Billings, Mont.; Phil Loring, Jr., Anthony Cisneros, Brian Collins and Anthony Urrutia of Fort Collins, Colo.; Ty McDonald of Bozeman, Mont.; Gabriel Penfield of Irmo, S.C.; Jeff Riegle of Woodbury, Minn.; Scott Robidoux of Irmo, S.C.; Leonard Sykes of Great Falls, Mont.; and Heidi Westfall of Salt Lake City.

Cisneros said the acquisition of Waddell & Reed by the Macquarie Group last December provided a natural inflection point for his team to review their service providers and partnerships. He said Good Life emerged as the right home for the team and client after evaluation of several alternatives across the independent channel. “The value and flexibility of their advisor-centric tools and solutions enable us to deliver a best-in-class client service experience as we achieve our long-term growth potential,” he said in a statement.

Conor Delaney, founder and CEO of Good Life Companies, said they are thrilled to have the advisors join “the rapidly expanding Good Life community of successful professionals,” and look forward to helping them grow their business. “Financial advisors seeking a fully supported experience in the independent channel increasingly recognize the critical need for forward-thinking partners like Good Life that embrace going above and beyond when it comes to advisor support,” he said.

The Good Life platform provides advisors access to multiple independent broker-dealers while conducting business with multiple custodians. It enables newly recruited advisors and those who are already working with Good Life Companies to choose between affiliating with LPL Financial or Raymond James as their broker-dealer.
