The Hedge Fund Association has named Thalius Hecksher regional director for the Southeast chapter and Robert Sawyer to the newly created role of regional director for the Boston chapter.
Hecksher currently serves as global managing director of business development for Apex Fund Services. He has over 18 years of experience working within the international financial markets. Prior to joining Apex, Hecksher was head of sales for EMEA at Linedata.
Sawyer’s practice at Foley Hoag LLP is focused on investment advisors and private investment funds. As co-chair of the firm’s investment management practice, Sawyer assists advisors with the formation and structuring of domestic and offshore investment funds.
In their new roles, Hecksher and Sawyer will direct the HFA’s local event programs, and contribute to the organization’s mission of advancing transparency, development and trust in alternative investments.
