Developing nations will benefit from holding back on overbuilding old technologies and higher adoption rates for new devices, Visser said. Demographics also favor emerging markets, because roughly three-fifths of the world’s population is in Asia. Low interest rates also bode well, he said.
"The story for emerging markets is one of outperformance," Visser said. "In the next five to 10 years, it’s obvious that EM should be more of a play."
