ICMA-RC, a nonprofit financial services corporation headquartered in Washington, D.C., has rebranded to MissionSquare Retirement, according to a news release.

ICMA-RC said in the release that the move is designed to better reflect its mission to provide retirement security for public employees through retirement plans, investment options, and personalized service and advice. 

As part of the rebrand, the newly-renamed MissionSquare Retirement has introduced several new initiatives and reintroduced others under new names, all designed to provide retirement plan sponsors and participants with elevated and personalized engagement experiences, the company said.

Founded in 1972, MissionSquare Retirement oversees approximately $74 billion in assets under management and administration for more than 1.6 million plan participants.
