Charles Donovan has been appointed senior economic advisor to Impax Asset Management, the firm announced Thursday.

The well-known economist and advocate for curbing climate change through action, investing and education will focus on energy transition in furtherance of the firm’s mission of investing in the transition to a more sustainable economy, Impax Asset Management said.

Donovan will be tasked with contributing to Impax's thought leadership initiatives and providing insights on North American policy developments to Impax's clients and investment teams. He will be based in Seattle and will continue in his role as visiting professor of sustainable finance at the Foster School of Business at the University of Washington.
