Financial advisor Robert Diaz, operating as Confluence Wealth Management in Alton, Ill., has joined St. Petersburg, Fla.-based Raymond James Financial Services (RJFS), the broker-dealer's independent advisor channel.

Diaz was formerly affiliated with Edward Jones, where he managed more than $115 million in client assets, according to a Raymond James news release. He and his team of business manager Jack Hoelscher and client service manager Jennifer Mobley provide investment and wealth management services to a clientele that includes families, business owners, corporate executives, healthcare professionals, and retirees.

An Alton native, Diaz earned a degree in economics from the University of Illinois. After graduation, he started his career in 2009 as a financial advisor with Waddell & Reed before joining Edward Jones in 2011. After more than a decade with the firm, he and his team decided to look for a new partner.

“Not only did Raymond James stand out in our search for its sophisticated planning and investment tools, but the transition support is also a key differentiator,” Diaz said in the news release. “The firm has helped us navigate this new territory for our business with minimal disruption and unwavering support for our vision. I’m excited to see that vision come to life as a team-based practice capable of surrounding clients with a depth of support and expertise.”
