Jacob Armstrong has been appointed head of the insurance variable annuity business at Franklin Templeton Investments, which will help to expand the firm’s insurance business, Franklin Templeton announced Tuesday.
In this position, he will oversee strategy, product development, marketing, business development and relationship management. Prior to returning to Franklin Templeton in early 2016, Armstrong held a number of senior positions within insurance and sub-advisory asset management at J.P. Morgan Asset Management and Ivy Funds.
Also, Shannon McVeigh has joined Franklin Templeton as vice president of insurance variable annuities business.
McVeigh joined Franklin Templeton from J.P. Morgan Asset Management where she was a vice president in the sub-advisory, insurance group.
