Jamie Grupe, an advisor in Hudson, Wis., has joined the Ameriprise franchise channel, bringing $173 million in client assets under management.
Grupe is joining Ameriprise with Steve Kinney, an Ameriprise advisor with 39 years of experience serving clients in the Hudson area.
Grupe, a CFP, was previously with LPL.
He said his firm's clients include both Fortune 500 executives and blue-collar workers.
On why he teamed with Kinney, Grupe said, "Steve and I share the same values and we both care about the local community. Eventually Steve plans to retire, so us working together is part of his succession plan."
