Jamie Hopkins has been elevated to CEO at Bryn Mawr Capital Management's private wealth group three months after he joined the Pennsylvania private wealth company.
Hopkins made the announcement Friday on his LinkedIn page. “I am excited about the future of the Bryn Mawr Trust and Bryn Mawr Capital Management, LLC’s teams in 2024! I appreciate the trust of the organization to support my appointment as CEO of our RIA. We have an amazing team and clients focused on raising up our communities,” he said.
“Aligning together investments, advice, trusts and estate, tax and banking services creates an offering that is distinctly unique in our market,” he added.
Hopkins left Omaha, Neb.-based Carson Group in September, citing the need to spend more time with his family. He had been with Carson since 2019 as its director of retirement research, and in 2021 was promoted to managing partner of wealth solutions. He joined Bryn Mawr on October 1 as a senior vice president and director of private wealth management.
Before joining Carson in 2019, Hopkins was an associate professor of taxation at The American College of Financial Services Retirement Income program and director of the New York Life Center for Retirement Income. And in his spare time he co-created the Retirement Income Certified Professional (RICP) designation, which has trained thousands of advisors in the art of retirement income planning.
