JPMorgan Chase & Co. Chief Executive Officer Jamie Dimon was named to a two-year term as chairman of the Business Roundtable.

Dimon will replace Doug Oberhelman, CEO of Caterpillar Inc., on Jan. 1, the association of top business executives said Wednesday in a statement.

“With a new president and Congress soon to take office, there is a real opportunity for Business Roundtable to be a positive influence and show how business plays a critical role in this growth,” Dimon, 60, said in the statement.
