Mercer Advisors Inc., a registered investment advisor headquartered in Denver, has appointed Susan Travis to the position of managing director of the firm’s rapidly-growing Central South region, according to a news release.

Travis joined Mercer Advisors as a wealth management advisor after the firm acquired her most recent employer, Kanaly Trust, in 2016. Mercer Advisors promoted her to regional leadership and office positions before her most recent elevation to the senior eladership team as a managing director. In her new role, Travis will oversee teams in Houston, Dallas, Austin and New Orleans offices overseeing approximately $3.5 billion in client assets.

Travis received a B.A. degree in English from the State University of New York College at Potsdam. She sits on the Board of Directors for the National Association of Estate Planners and Councils, and chairs its Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Committee.

Mercer Advisors recently appointed three other managing directors: Kevin Jack, managing director of the Southwest Region; Matt Cook, managing director of the Los Angeles and Central California Region; and Josh Deforest, managing director of the Pacific Northwest.

Established in 1985, Mercer Global Advisors Inc., is one of the largest registered investment advisers and financial planning firms in the U.S. with over $28 billion in client assets.
