Kestra Financial has recruited a former LPL Financial advisor team in Merrick, N.Y.
Merrick Financial Group manages $142 million in assets and provides wealth management services to the active and retired members of the law enforcement community.
The firm includes co-founders Eric Moore and Michael Blake and associate Allison Hudson. Blake served on the New York City Police Department for 27 years, including a stint as commander of the counterterrorism division, before founding Merrick Financial, which serves police officers.
Moore said Merrick joined Kestra for its “robust technology platform” and its practice management tools.
Kestra Financial is headquartered in Austin, Texas, and supports over 1,800 independent financial advisors.
