MLG Capital Introduces Private And Parallel Funds For Retirement Investment

Investment managers and their clients, wary about investing their IRA or 401(k) retirement funds in risky real estate ventures, need worry no more. With the introduction of the MLG Private Fund IV and the MLG 1099 Dividend Fund IV, a parallel fund, RIAs and their clients can reap the benefits of a diversified retirement fund.

Each of the MLG Private Funds acquires, directly or indirectly, a geographically diverse portfolio of commercial real estate primarily consisting of multifamily, industrial, retail and office properties in several key U.S. markets.

The MLG Private Fund IV has as its goal an internal rate of return of 12% to 16% over an estimated five- to eight-year holding period, with an estimated potential of achieving $250 million in total equity.

RIA in a Box Unveils Audit Prep Tool

Compliance teams can now ace their SEC examinations with the help of an audit prep tool from RIA in a Box, a registration and compliance consulting company located in New York.

The tool has two sections—an audit prep and regulatory exam. Using the audit prep, the firm’s current MyRIACompliance clients can review sample request letters from both the SEC and state regulators, as well as past findings and remedies from previous exams.

The system also creates calendar reminders to ensure that all examination-related materials are reviewed annually. In addition, on-demand webinars and a library of regulatory documents outlining exam priorities and common deficiencies offer compliance teams continuing education and best practices for the examination process.

Once an exam takes place, the audit is logged within the system and marked as complete. Clients can use the regulatory exam section to upload findings documents or letters, as well as to schedule a call with their RIA in a Box team to discuss the exam and to take any action if needed. All of these actions are automatically captured and logged to ensure a holistic and complete approach to taking the examination.
