Traditionally, Sanchez said, hedge funds were in master feeder structures, which had shorter investment periods.
“The length of the investment is now longer in the credit space for hedge funds, the drawdown for when you use the capital is slightly different and it’s the first time the hedge sector is using capital structure tools very similar to what private equity uses today,” said Sanchez.
