The Medical Society of the State of New York (MSSNY) has named New York City-based Altfest Personal Wealth Management as the exclusive and preferred wealth management provider for its nearly 30,000 members, according to a news release.
Fee-only Altfest is a family-led firm founded in 1983 by Lewis J. Altfest, CEO, CIO and principal advisor. The firm provides financial guidance for physicians and their families, including creditor and asset protection, tax planning and debt management.
“Many of our members, whether starting their careers or preparing for retirement, face complex financial planning and investment challenges,” said Phil Schuh, MSSNY executive vice president. “Teaming with Altfest will provide members the type of access, education and service they deserve, further underscoring MSSNY’s commitment to its members.”
Founded in 1837, MSSNY is a non-profit organization headquartered in Westbury, N.Y., that represents licensed physicians, medical residents and medical students in New York State.
