The FSA Credential Program

SASB offers ongoing education programs related to the Fundamentals of Sustainability Accounting (FSA) credential and webinars, as well as through membership in the SASB Alliance. There is also the annual SASB Symposium, the 2017 edition of which will be held Nov. 30th in New York.

“The FSA credential program is terrific for financial advisors and other professionals who want to incorporate sustainability factors into investment decision making.” Guillot adds, “SASB modeled the credential after professional exams, so we had subject matter experts who participated in the development of both the curriculum and the exam. The program is also a CE qualified activity for the CFA Institute.”

“Financial advisors are multi-disciplinary people. To advise clients effectively, they pull together many different skills related to taxation, investment management, accounting, business transition, estate planning and psychology.” Guillot concludes, “I think advisors would find the breadth of topics we’ll be discussing at the SASB Symposium very interesting.”
