Ladenburg Thalmann Financial Services is launching a program designed to help its advisors better serve high-net-worth clients, Ladenburg Thalmann announced Tuesday.

The Advanced Planning Group is designed to enhance the comprehensive wealth management capabilities of financial advisors across the firm’s five independent advisory and brokerage subsidiaries. The group is made up of a team of consulting professionals with expertise in tax, estate and business planning. It will be a resource for financial advisors to allow them to deliver customized solutions for clients with more complex planning needs, Ladenburg Thalmann said.

The new group will help advisors navigate sensitive family dynamics while facilitating intergenerational wealth transfers, construct tax-smart portfolio strategies that require continuous monitoring, and support the corporate retirement plans of business owner wealth management clients, the firm said in a statement.

The launch of the new program was announced at the Ladenburg Thalmann Elevate Advisory Symposium held in Nashville for advisors from its subsidiaries, Securities America, Triad Advisors, Investacorp, KMS Financial Services and Securities Service Network.

At the symposium Ladenburg Thalmann also announced the rollout of the Link to the Future initiative, which is designed to encourage young people to join the financial industry.

The program had been available through Securities America and will now be available through all five subsidiaries. Link to the Future provides college students who are interested in entering the financial advice profession with funding and access to industry events, as well as potential mentoring relationships with established financial advisors and home office executives.

An inaugural group of 20 recipients attended the Elevate Symposium with their expenses paid. The program connected scholarship winners with financial advisors who served as on-site hosts to answer students’ questions about the profession, guide them through various breakout sessions, and potentially build long-term mentor relationships.
