NewEdge Wealth today announced that it has added former Wells Fargo advisor Dale Schroeder to its San Francisco office, which opened in June.

Schroeder, who spent 12 years at Wells Fargo, where he provided risk-reward analysis and retirement, legacy, and philanthropic planning for his clients, will serve as a managing director for the firm  and will work in the Bay Area alongside advisor John Froley, founding member of NewEdge Wealth's San Francisco office, a news release said.

“NewEdge Wealth represents the future for high-net-worth family’s wealth management services, and I look forward to being part of the growing team on the West Coast," Schroeder said in a statement.

Rob Sechan, CEO and co-founder of NewEdge Wealth, said that the San Francisco office has seen  significant interest in its services “and we are thrilled to support this demand with the addition of Dale to our team.”

Schroeder began his career with Crossroads Capital Management in 2003, according to BrokerCheck. He left the industry after a year and worked as an equity options specialist on the Pacific Stock Exchange, the release noted. He rejoined the industry in 2006 with Sandford Bernstein & Co. and moved to Wells Fargo in 2009.

Based in Stamford, Conn., NewEdge Wealth is a registered investment advisor specializing in servicing the needs of ultra-high-net-worth families, family offices, and institutional clients. The firm this year has opened offices in Nashville, Tenn., and Bentonville, Ark.
