“Household leverage is at the lowest point that it has been since the first quarter of 1985,” he added.

Schulze also warned that volatility will likely cause some problems over the rest of the year, but overall the market growth will continue. The stock market this year will have some hiccups but end up ahead, he predicted.

Schulze says equities, both international and domestic, will continue to do well. However, he argues, as did several others at the conference, that foreign equities are now primed to outpace U.S. equities, in part because it is their time to shine.
