Happy Tuesday, Friends in Fintech!  Hoping you all enjoyed a wonderful Thanksgiving holiday, though I suspect many of our readers had some significant hiccups in your travel plans.

We’re back at it this week with several new posts on the fintech front. First off, as always, check out our weekly update on all the latest wealthtech news from our resident expert Vasyl Solushchuk. We also have an interview from Vasyl with Lennart Asshoff of Nucoro, who shares his thoughts on ways advisors can take control of client acquisition costs.

In addition, we have a great 3 Questions interview with David Coyle of the wealthtech firm AdvisorEngine, which provides a client relationship management system and digital wealth management platform.

Financial Advisor writer Karen DeMasters has posted two stories for us today on the fintech front. One examines the results of JD Power’s 2019 Advisor Digital Engagement Study looking at which asset management firms are tops in digital communications. In her second piece, Karen speaks with Advicent’s COO Anthony Stich on how technology is going to enable advisors to delve much deeper into their clients’ financial lives in the future. Both are must reads.

For those of you who have been following us since we first launched FintekNews in 2016 (before selling to Financial Advisor in 2018), you know we are unabashed supporters of Bitcoin. Sometimes that makes you look utterly brilliant, and other times you look like a complete fool depending on the prevailing price action of the day, week or month. In the story “Bitcoin Facing Major Crossroad As Sell-Off Proves Relentless”, author Vildana Hajric reviews the reasons for the most recent bitcoin selloff.

And finally, we conclude with a piece from Fintech News friend LoriJo Underhill entitled “Defining the Digital Economy: The Structure of the Digital Economy in Focus."  One of the major problems with digital assets is the lack of unified definitions for each of the asset categories, and it is a root cause for much of the regulatory chaos around digital assets worldwide. LoriJo has taken the time to define four categories of digital assets in her new book and shares those with our readers in this piece.

All in all, some great content on fintech, wealthtech and digital currencies for you today!  Read up!

Yours in Fintech,
Cindy Taylor
