St. Louis-based Plancorp has named Chris Kerckhoff as its CEO.

Kerckhoff will continue on as Plancorp’s president, a role he has held since 2010. Kerckhoff joined Plancorp in 1997 as a financial planner. Since that time, the company has grown from $198 million to $4 billion AUM.

"Chris joined us as one of the first five Plancorp employees. From day one, he's demonstrated the kind of visionary thinking and leadership that reflects a genuine passion for his work,” said Jeff Buckner, Plancorp founder, chairman and co-CIO. “He has helped guide the firm through exciting changes, while ensuring that we maintain our unique, people-first culture – and I'm delighted to announce that, as of today, he officially assumes the role of CEO."

During his tenure as president, Kerckhoff has overseen the creation of Plancorp’s Women’s Initative as well as its Philanthropy Committee.

Kerckhoff also recently helped initiate Plancorp’s strategic partnership with roboadvisor BrightPlan, creating a large human-robo hybrid that harnesses the efficiency of digital advice with the personalization of a traditional RIA.
