Ogier Launches Global Private Wealth Service
Ogier, a provider of offshore legal and fiduciary services, is launching a wealth planning service for ultra-high-net-worth clients.
The new service pulls together a number of Ogier's units under the brand of Ogier Private Wealth. The services include the creation and administration of trusts, private trust companies, employer-funded structures and investment funds, and real estate advice, according to the company.
The creation of the service is a reflection of the fact that the ultra-affluent are looking for more sophisticated investment management, says Ogier partner Philip Le Cornu. "The sophistication of the way they invest means the administration has become more technical and specialized," Le Cornu says.
Ogier is essentially a law firm and trust company combined into one and specializes in administering entities such as limited partnerships and unit trusts, says Ogier partner Steven Meiklejohn.
