Raymond James has added a former Oppenheimer & Co. advisor with $110 million in client assets to its employee advisor channel, Raymond James & Associates (RJA) in Fort Lauderdale, Fla., according to a news release.

Rhonda McNiel, senior vice president of investments, joined the firm’s South Florida Complex, led by director Stephen Sullivan. She will operate as Rhonda L. McNiel of Raymond James, the release said.

McNiel has more than 40 years in the industry, beginning her career in 1981 with E.F. Hutton, according to BrokerCheck. She moved in 1988 to PaineWebber, later acquired by UBS, where she spent 21 years before joining Oppenheimer & Co.

“The way Raymond James conducts their business is perfectly in-line with my own philosophy—doing the right thing for clients, with integrity. I feel like I’ve come home,” McNiel said in a statement. “The level of professionalism is superior, and everyone has gone above and beyond in making me feel supported and welcome during this transition."
