Advisors Daniel Kaschmitter and William Gelegotis have joined Raymond James & Associates, the firm’s employee broker-dealer, in its Salt Lake City branch office, according to a news release.

Kaschmitter and Gelegotis were formerly with Wells Fargo Advisors, where they managed $800 million in client assets.

As Raymond James employees, they and their team – senior investment/portfolio analysts Alexander Kaschmitter and Steven Pagoaga, and senior client service associate Jennifer Zuspan – will operate as KPG of Raymond James. Their Salt Lake City branch manager is Pam McComas.

Gelegotis, KPG’s senior vice president of investments, has more than 40 years of financial services experience. He joins Raymond James after 16 years with Wells Fargo Advisors and Wachovia. He received a bachelor’s degree in business from Philadelphia University.

Daniel Kaschmitter, KPG’s managing director, has worked in the financial services industry for 25 years. He previously served as managing director and investment officer at Wells Fargo Advisors. His background as a financial advisor also includes roles at PaineWebber and UBS. He earned a bachelor’s degree in finance from the University of Utah.

Daniel Kaschmitter said in the news release the idea of joining Raymond James appealed to him and Gelegotis because of the firm’s client-first culture.

“The independence and freedom this firm offers and the ability to run your own business is very unique in this industry,” Kaschmitter said. “In addition, having advanced, cutting-edge technology at the tips of your fingers is unmatched.”

Raymond James & Associates, Inc., headquartered in Saint Petersburg, Fla., is a wholly owned subsidiary of Raymond James Financial Inc., a multinational diversified financial services company with approximately 8,000 financial advisors throughout the United States, Canada and overseas.
