Financial advisors Scot Morris, Alex Brand, Alicia Borghi and Barbara Wiltshire were recruited to Raymond James Financial Services Inc., the firm’s independent broker-dealer in Richmond, Va., according to Tom Harrington, Northeast regional director for RJFS.

The team operates as Z3 Capital Partners and is migrating from Wells Fargo Advisors. While at Wells Fargo, the group managed roughly $350 million in client assets and $2.5 million each year in production. Their clients include high-net-worth retirees, small business professionals, attorneys and physicians.

The team is especially focused on individual investing and investment analysis and work to provide clients with customized portfolios.

“Our team is very focused on individual investing, and we spend a great deal of time on investment analysis and customized portfolios for our clients,” continued Morris. “So the depth of investment research at the firm was an important factor in our decision as well. We’re looking forward to growing our practice at Raymond James.”

Morris, a Z3 principal, began at Branch, Cabell & Co. in 1986 and later moved to RBC Capital Markets and Wells Fargo. He has over 30 years of experience in the financial services industry. He obtained his bachelor’s degree from the University of Pittsburgh.

Brand, a partner at Z3 Capital, has nearly 20 years of institutional investing experience. He  joined the team in 2015.  He earned his bachelor’s degree from the University of Richmond and his MBA from Georgia State University. Brand also received his Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) designation in 1997.

Borghi, a partner at Z3 Capital, has over 20 years of financial services experience, and earned her bachelor’s degree from SUNY Plattsburgh.

Wiltshire is a financial advisor with more than 30 years of experience who has extensive training in financial planning, portfolio analysis and the fixed-income markets.
