A former Merril Lynch team that managed about $340 million in client assets has joined Raymond James Financial Services, the firm’s independent advisor channel, according to a news release.

Resolute Private Wealth (RPW) includes financial advisors Jon Schubert, Brent Bigney, Mike Morrison and Adam Stalcup. They are joined by client service associates Stacey Hytree and Amy Tesi. Based in Forest, Va., they serve a variety of clients including business owners, corporate executives, family offices, women investors and endowments and foundations, the release said.

Schubert, president and managing partner, began his career in 2003 at Edward Jones before moving to Merrill Lynch in 2017. He said the team moved to Raymond James because of the depth and breadth of its investment and planning platform, in addition to its advisor-centric culture. “I am impressed by the firm’s offering and services designed specifically to cater to high-net-worth families’ needs,” he said in a statement.

Bigney, vice president, got his start in the industry in 2007 at Edward Jones and joined Merrill Lynch in 2011. “Raymond James allocates resources with a client-focused lens and has equipped us with a great suite of research, technology and planning tools that will not only help us engage our current clients on a thoughtful level, but also supports us in developing new relationships,” he said.

Both Morrison and Adams entered the industry in 2018 and have been with RPW since then. Morrison serves as chief marketing officer and Stalcup as chief operations officer.

Headquartered in St. Petersburg, Fla., Raymond James Financial Services is a wholly owned subsidiary of Raymond James Financial Inc., which had about 8,700 financial advisors throughout the U.S., Canada and overseas, and a total of $1.24 trillion in client assets, as of February.
