RBC Wealth Management recently recruited a pair of Morgan Stanley advisors with about $450 million in assets to join its Westport, Conn., office, according to a news release.

Marco Ventrella and Christopher Ellis operate the Ventrella-Ellis Group, which serves wealthy and ultra-wealthy individuals and families, with a special concentration on corporate executives and their families, the release said.

Ventrella, now senior vice president, began his career at UBS in 2002 and moved to Morgan Stanley in 2012, according to BrokerCheck. Ellis, also a senior vice president, started in the industry in 1995 and worked at other firms including Merrill Lynch and UBS before joining Morgan Stanley in 2012.

Ventrella said they chose RBC for its entrepreneurial culture, local leadership and supportive management approach. “We also share the firm’s client-first values, which is incredibly important to us as we build wealth management strategies designed to meet our clients’ needs and goals,” he said in a statement.

John Moran, RBC's New York complex director, said the Ventrella-Ellis Group is well-respected in the area and is known for its integrity and excellent client service.  “Marco and Chris are consummate professionals with a long track record of success, and we are thrilled to welcome them to RBC Wealth Management.”

Founded in 1909, RBC Wealth Management (U.S.) has $528 billion in total client assets with more than 2,100 financial advisors operating in 181 locations in 42 states.
