RBC Wealth Management – U.S. says it wants to attract more women to the financial advisory profession to fill the void that will be left by retirees.

The wealth management firm based in Minneapolis is launching a series of documentary-style videos that feature successful RBC women advisors and shows the different paths they took to reach their current positions. Some started out as rocket scientists, Beltway politicians or translators for the Armed Forces, while others stepped into the business directly after college. Together, they exemplify the initiative, which is called, “Everyone’s Path is Different. They All Can Lead Here,” RBC said.

“The need and opportunity for female financial advisors has never been greater,” said Kristen Kimmell, chief of staff at RBC Wealth Management. “By highlighting the unique stories of some of the women who’ve built successful careers in this industry, we hope others will be inspired to take that first step down a similar career path. Adding more women to our advisor ranks is good for the industry, good for our business, but most of all, good for our clients.”
