RBC Wealth Management has recruited a former Truist team with more than $1 billion in client assets to join its Richmond, Va., branch, according to a new release.

The Miller-Bowles-Horn Group includes five financial advisors: Martin J. Miller, senior vice president; Bowlman “Tripp” Bowles III, senior vice president; Matthew C. Horn, senior vice president; Alex F. Maffett, first vice president; and Stephen M. Tucci, first vice president, who will be located in RBC Wealth Management’s Sarasota, Fla., office. Also joining the team are John Hamilton, senior client associate; Jessica W. Holmes, registered client associate; and Matthew L. Allen, client associate.

The team specializes in customized wealth management solutions, retirement income needs and estate planning strategies for individuals, families and businesses, the release noted.

According to BrokerCheck, the team had been at Truist for only a year. Prior to that, they were with BB&T Securities. Miller, Bowles and Horn began their careers at Scott & Stringfellow in the mid- and late 1990s.

“RBC Wealth Management’s culture is supportive and gives us the freedom to focus our efforts on what we do best – helping our clients,” Miller said in a statement. “We feel the firm’s integrated technology platform and extensive resources will enable us to provide an elevated service experience for our clients.”

Robin Long, South Atlantic Complex director, said the team is known for its professionalism, sound financial principles, and fierce commitment to clients.  “We are thrilled to welcome The Miller-Bowles-Horn Group to RBC Wealth Management,” he said.
