Krueger noted that there are many advisors who don't have a philosophy or strategy around including digital assets in portfolios. “Some of the older advisors, especially, will say ‘oh, we don’t recommend it and we don’t get involved in that,” she said.

“But I think that’s a missed opportunity here,” Krueger said. “Younger people have money, they are high earners, and they are smart, and they want education, because if you look at the findings [of the survey], everybody across the board want to be educated in digital assets, crypto and blockchain.”

She said this is the time for education in crypto to shine because that is going to be the driving force behind what makes younger people feel like there is a value proposition. “And it can’t be transaction-based. That’s why the fee-only financial planning is more legit and more authentic, because they are not looking to work with a broker who is going to make a transaction.” she said. “They want to be educated and that means, advisors, get to know your stuff really well in crypto and blockchain because this is what people are looking for.”
