RMB Capital has added five of its top employees to its group of partners.

The Chicago-based firm added Kate Demet, Maher Harb, Brian Hettinger, Masakazu Hosomizu and Jennifer Rydwelski, bringing the number of partners in RMB Capital to 19.

According to RMB Capital's release, the expansion of its partners is integral to its succession planning and in response to its recent growth. The firm swelled to 200 employees in the past two years and its assets under management have reportedly grown by about $4 billion to $9.3 billion.

New partner Demet was recently named the firm’s chief marketing officer. She’s been with the firm since 2010 after working at RMB’s communications partner Greenhouse Partners for five years.

Chief financial officer Harb joined the RIA in 2008. He previously served as a principal for a consulting firm.

RMB tapped the portfolio manager of its Japan equity strategies, Hosomizu. He joined the firm in 2013 and previously worked at Coghill Capital Management and Nomura Securities Company.

Rydwelski, the firm’s chief human resources officer joined the firm in 2005 as its compliance officer. Rydwelski was the former compliance officer for The Burridge Group, a company founded by RMB’s CEO and co-chief investment officer Richard Burridge, Jr.’s father Richard Burridge, Senior.

RMB Capital is an independent investment and advisory firm. The firm has offices in Chicago, Denver, Jackson Hole, Wyo., Milwaukee, New York, Oakbrook Terrace, Ill. and has recently added wealth management offices in Minneapolis and Washington, D.C.
