Rockefeller Capital Management today announced the addition of Moon Wealth Partners, formerly of Merrill Lynch private banking and investment group in Bethesda, Md., according to a news release.

Moon Wealth Partners is led by managing director and private advisor Robert “Rob” Moon, who will report to Kristen Sario, Southeast divisional director of Rockefeller Global Family Office.

Moon, according to BrokerCheck, began his career in 1994 with Citigroup Global Markets. He moved to Merrill Lynch in 2008. His clientele includes executives, entrepreneurs, and private equity partners, the release said, noting that he provides expertise in stock strategies, option and benefit analysis, liquidity-event and tax investment strategies, wealth transfer, and philanthropic initiatives.

He was No. 34 on Forbes’ Best-in-State Wealth Advisors list earlier this year. According to the listing, he managed $474 million in assets.

“Rob Moon is a widely respected advisor across our industry, and we’re excited to have him on board,” said Christopher Dupuy, co-president of Rockefeller Global Family Office, in a statement. “With his deep expertise serving the complex wealth management needs of executives and entrepreneurs and their families, Rob is perfectly matched to the Rockefeller culture and business model.”

Sario added that Moon is “ideally suited to help deliver the Rockefeller experience to current and future clients in the greater Washington area and beyond.”

Established in 2018, Rockefeller Capital Management offers services in 46 locations across the U.S. and one in London. As of June 30, the firm was responsible for $112 billion in client assets across its three businesses, Rockefeller Global Family Office, Rockefeller Asset Management and Rockefeller Strategic Advisory.
