Rockefeller Capital Management has added a former UBS team with $600 million in client assets to its global family office in North Carolina, according to a news release on Friday.

Decision Point Wealth Partners, based in Wilmington, N.C., is led by managing director and private advisor Chad Pearson and senior vice presidents and private advisors Donis Smith and Paul Patterson. They are joined by wealth manager Riley Stephenson, senior client relationship manager Jillian Dempsey, and client associate Courtenay Bickler. The group will report to Kristen Sario, Southeast divisional director.

Pearson, who has been with UBS for 14 years, began his career with Merrill Lynch in 1996, according to BrokerCheck. Smith began her career at Morgan Stanley in 1995 and moved to UBS in 2013, and Patterson began with Merrill Lynch in 2000 and joined UBS in 2009.

“We look forward to partnering with Decision Point Wealth Partners in serving clients and their families in this vibrant community and state,” Sario said in a statement. “The team will help support our growth in what is a thriving market for Rockefeller.” The firm also has a team in Charlotte, N.C.

Christopher Dupuy, co-president of Rockefeller Global Family Office, added that the team’s “experience, expertise, and reputation make them a perfect fit with Rockefeller’s national advisor community and entrepreneurial culture.”

As of June 30, the firm was responsible for $112 billion in client assets across its three businesses, Rockefeller Global Family Office, Rockefeller Asset Management and Rockefeller Strategic Advisory.
