A family team that handled $1 billion in assets at RBC Wealth Management has moved to Rockefeller Capital Management in New York City, according to a news release.

The Claghorn Group includes John W. Claghorn III, managing director, private wealth advisor; and his sons John (Jake) W. Claghorn IV, senior vice president, private wealth advisor; and  McKay Claghorn, senior vice president, private wealth advisor. The team also includes Elizabeth Yermes, associate vice president, and Jack Browne, senior client associate.

The senior Claghorn began his career in 1974 with Hornblower & Weeks, Hemphill, Noyes Inc., according to BrokerCheck. He worked for a few other firms, including Merrill Lynch, Pierce, Fenner & Smith Inc., from 1979 to 1982. He joined RBC in 2002.

Jake Claghorn began his career in 2005 with RBC. He moved in 2007 to Wedbush Securities and left after a year to join Morgan Stanley. He rejoined RBC in 2015. Mckay Claghorn joined RBC in 2011.

The team will report to Michael Parker, Rockefeller managing director, who before joining Rockefeller in 2019 was executive head of strategic growth for RBC.
