Risk Paradigm Group (RPg) is launching a family wealth advisory business and offering a new fund to complement its existing offerings.

RPg is adding a Boston-based advisor team from Morgan Stanley Smith Barney, led by David M. Gatti, and acquiring the investment advisory branch of RAM Financial Group in Austin, Tex., led by Mark B. Reinking. Gatti will serve as CEO of RPg.

In conjunction with the expansion, the firm is adding a new fund, ICP Endowment Stability Fund to complement the firm's flagship Diversified Risk Parity Fund. The addition is designed to offer a multi-strategy, multi-asset class fund of hedge funds managed to emulate the returns of university endowment portfolios, according to the company.

RPg is also partnering with Dynasty Financial Partners to enhance its family wealth advisory and asset management capabilities to create a full-service financial services firm, according to the company. Dynasty is a provider of investment and technology platforms for independent financial advisors.

The new RPg family wealth advisory management business will offer family wealth planning strategies and fiduciary services, including investment and asset management, philanthropic services, retirement and estate planning, risk control and liquidity solutions, and private banking.

The family wealth business will complement RPg's alternative asset management business, RPG Asset Management, which specializes in the comprehensive analysis, measurement and application of risk management principals to portfolios for foundations, charities, endowments and qualified private investors.
