Salomon & Ludwin, a $1 billion wealth management firm based in Richmond, Va., has launched an independent RIA and will custody funds with TD Ameritrade Institutional, TD Ameritrade announced Friday.

The firm was previously affiliated with embattled Wells Fargo and its predecessors for more than 30 years.

Led by founding partners Dalal Maria Salomon and Daniel B. Ludwin, the 12-person firm has about $1 billion in client assets. It provides investment and wealth management services, including retirement and financial planning, cash-flow management, and tax and estate coordination.

Salomon & Ludwin has been named to Barron’s America’s Top 1,000 Financial Advisors list every year since 2009. The firm was awarded a U.S. patent for TriggerPoint, an investment strategy that runs several of its proprietary ETF portfolios.

Salomon is among only 16 advisors who have been on Barron’s America’s Top Women Advisors list every year since its inception in 2006. Forbes named Salomon to its America’s Top 200 Women Wealth Advisors for 2017 and 2018.
