Three new advisors have joined Standard Investment Advisors, an advisory firm based in Mandeville, La., that is part of the LPL’s broker-dealer and corporate RIA custodial platforms, LPL Financial announced Wednesday.

Shelley Moncrief, Jarrod Lege and Rick Schenck, the advisors joining Standard Investment Advisors, serviced a total of $324 million in client assets based on prior business, LPL says.

The advisors moved from bank-based wealth management business, following a similar move by Standard founders Merritt Talbot and Margie Benjamin, who left the bank setting for independence in 2014.

Standard has four offices in Louisiana and plans new offices in Baton Rouge and Shreveport. The firm is focused on attracting advisors and advisory firms that service between $75 million to $150 million of assets, LPL says. The addition is part of a continuing expansion of LPL.
