Atlanta-based SunTrust Banks is expanding it wealth management business into Houston and Dallas.
Karen Dixon has joined SunTrust Private Wealth Management to lead the firm’s Texas division. Dixon previously served as executive vice president and Houston market executive for BBVA Compass Global Wealth.
Seven other wealth management professionals will join Dixon in SunTrust’s Texas division, which will coordinate with already existing SunTrust Robinson Humphrey teams located in the region to offer clients corporate and investment banking services.
As of Dec. 31., SunTrust had $205 billion in client assets under management and total deposits of $160 billion.
