Surevest Wealth Management, a registered investment advisory firm headquartered in Phoenix, said it had recruited advisor Breanne Polonia to its ranks.

Polonia previously served as a wealth advisor and women-in-transition specialist at Wells Fargo Advisors. She moved to Surevest to expand her practice helping women get through the sale of a business, divorce, or the loss of a loved one, Surevest said in a media release.

“While others look toward automated solutions and call center service, [Robert Luna, CEO of Surevest] wants to focus on treating clients as individuals through customized strategies and personalized attention—which is what I wanted to ensure would be the experience for my clients,” Polonia said in the release. “There is no focus on competing with the masses, only being the best for clients Surevest serves.”

Luna said Surevest is looking for specialized advisors, one of the reasons the firm found Polonia an appealing recruit.

Wealth management recruiting and search firm Practice Solutions represented Polonia.

Surevest managed $161 million in regulatory assets as of September 2018.

Polonia’s departure from Wells Fargo comes in light of scandals that have surrounded the bank and its other businesses for two years. Wells Fargo announced last week that it would trim 10 percent of its workforce, around 265,000 jobs, over the next three years.
